Privacy Policy

JesusCentred is a project of Christen Forster Limited (CFL).  The aim of JesusCentred is to provide a growing resource of events and written, audio and video material which seek to reveal Jesus on every page of Scripture to help others to understand the nature of the pre-incarnate Word, the historical Jesus and the ascended Christ.

The information subscribers provide will be held by CFL under UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective from May 25th 2018.

Protection information

Your privacy is important to us and we seek to ensure that personal information you entrust to us is stored securely.  By opting in to receive emails and providing personal information to CFL you are agreeing that CFL may contact you by email on the basis of the consent you give at opt-in.  If you have purchased a product, registered for an event or made a donation, the personal information given at that time is provided as a Legitimate Interest and CFL is able to contact you in accordance with GDPR rules.

How do we collect personal information

We collect personal information about you electronically when you register for an event, purchase resources, email us, submit your details via our website, jesuscentred.org, or manually when you provide your details in person at a CFL event or an event at which Christen Forster or another CFL representative is speaking.

How do we use personal information

We use your personal information in order to:

  • Keep you up to date with JesusCentred news, events, activities and resources appropriate to your location and expressed interests.
  • Inform you of opportunities to further support and engage with the JesusCentred project.
  • To properly record and process any financial transactions and event bookings you have with CFL.

 Sharing your personal data

CFL will not share with or sell your data to external organisations for marketing purposes.

CFL uses third parties to provide a GDPR compliant service with industry standard security for tasks such as:

  • Event registration and bookings (Eventbrite)
  • Website donations and purchases, Card transactions at events (Paypal).  Note that we do not see or store card details used to make payments to CFL.
  • Managing regular emails (Mailchimp). When you provide your personal information with email consent you are giving CFL permission to transfer your details to Mailchimp.
    Unfortunately if you don’t give this permission then we will not be able to send you our email updates.

All third parties used in processing personal data are compliant with GDPR and have their own privacy policies which you can inspect.

Keeping your profile up to date

There is a link to update your profile on all emails we send to you which will enable you to keep your details current if any of them change.  Alternatively you can email us at office@jesuscentred.org

You can also unsubscribe from our regular emails at any time by using the ‘unsubscribe’ or ‘change preferences’ links on the emails you receive from us.

How long do we keep your information?

We are required to keep records of any financial transactions you have with us for at least six years after the end of the financial year in which the transaction was made.

We will regularly review personal information provided to determine whether or not it is still necessary to retain it for email updates or any other relationship you have with CFL.

Cookies

A Cookie is a very small text file which acts as a kind of short term memory for the web. It is stored in your browser and enables a site to ‘remember’ little bits of information between pages or visits. They are widely used to make the web experience more personal.

We use Cookies to customise the content on our website, jesuscentred.org, to help your visit to run smoothly and efficiently. Because we embed some Youtube videos on our website you may be sent cookies from Youtube. Also our third party suppliers, eg. Eventbrite, Mailchimp, Paypal, may also make use of cookies.
