Welcome

disciples_ of_ Emmaus_2At the end of Luke’s Gospel Jesus meets two friends on the road to Emmaus. One of them is called Cleopas/Clopas, he is Jesus’ uncle on Joseph’s side. That morning some women had gone to Jesus’ tomb to tend His dead body but found it empty and  two angels had told them to tell Jesus’ friends and family that Jesus had risen. The two friends find the report hard to believe and as they walk westward towards a setting sun, eyes squinting in its glare they don’t recognise the traveler walking with them.

As they talk about the death of their friend, brother, nephew and the report of the women, the resurrected Jesus talks to them and:“starting with Moses and with all the Prophets, He explained to them the things about himself in all the scriptures” – Luke 24:27  – until the scales fell from their eyes and they saw Him clearly

Even those that know Jesus well can miss Him when He is hidden in plain sight!

So the Jesus Centred Bible is a project to reveal Jesus on every page of scripture to understand the nature and of the pre-incarnate Word, the historical Jesus and the ascended Christ. At its heart is a growing resource of written, audio and video material. This website is intended to compliment and promote the other material. This project is still in its infancy, so please keep checking back and in the meantime enjoy the posts and information already in place.
