<\/a>Peter was there on mount of transfiguration… in fact he was talking too much which is why the Father had to interupt him with these words about listening to Jesus. Peter got the message, so while preaching shortly after Pentecost he reminds his listeners of Moses words and that they should heed Jesus’ teaching.<\/p>\n“For Moses indeed said to the fathers, \u2018The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him<\/strong> in all things whatever he says to you<\/em>” – Acts 3:22<\/p>\nIn fact![\"transfiguration\"](\"http:\/\/jesuscentred.org\/e\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/transfiguration-e1440185534481.jpg\")
<\/a><\/strong> there is far more of a connection between Moses and Jesus than we might realise. For instance, Moses is called a prophet, (Deuteronomy 34:10) obviously; but he is also a priest, born a Levite (Exodus 2:1 who intercedes between God and People ministering to and from YHWH’s presence (Exodus 33:12-17); and he is called a King, (Deuteronomy 33:4-5). Moses was the first Prophet,Priest and King, before even David modelled this three-fold office for the coming Messiah.<\/p>\nThere are cryptic references too… but not the time to explore those here… but the table below lists the main typological connections between Moses and Jesus.<\/p>\n\n
