This post will bring the series I have been posting on the prophetic implications of Jesus Ancestor\u2019s names<\/a> right up to the end of Genesis. But the prophecy doesn’t stop there! Going forward, the next section will draw out the names recorded between the Exodus and David.<\/p>\n

So in the previous post we got to the name \u201cIsrael\u201d and concluded the run of names from Shem<\/a>, seeing a variety of possibilities that ran something like.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fame of the healer sent from the otherside of the divide: a friend, a vine-branch, a lamp,<\/strong> a wanderer; raised by Father laughing as God\u2019s ruler<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n

The final three names to be found in Genesis add a final short sentence which proves that salvation has always been by faith in Jesus, to whatever revelation of Him have.<\/p>\n

The last three ancestors are Judah, Perez and Hezron.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Judah<\/h2>\n

Judah comes the verb \u201cyada\u201d\/\u201d\u05d9\u05d3\u05d4\u201d meaning to confess or acknowledge, some translators also see of the noun \u201chud\u201d\/\u201d\u05d4\u05d5\u05d3\u201d in the name. \u201cHud\u201d is a uniquely Hebrew words that is used for used splendor, majesty, authority and other attractive qualities, YHWH is clothed with it in Psalm 104:1. So \u201cJudah\u201d is usually translated as \u201cpraise\u201d or \u201cpraise him\u201d, but \u201cyada\u201d is broader than just \u201cpraise\u201d the King James version regularly translates it as \u201cto confess\u201d or \u201cto thank\u201d it simply means \u201cto acknowledge\u201d. So I translate \u201c\u201dJudah as \u201cTo acknowledge him\/his quality\u201d, In the prophetic flow of names, the \u201chim\u201d here would also refer back to the healer\/releaser described in the previous set of names.<\/p>\n

Perez\"Judah_Tamar\"<\/h2>\n

Later in life, Judah had twin son’s by the wife of his deceased firstborn Er. Despite the messy story one of these twins Perez becomes the ancestor of David and ultimately Jesus. Now \u201cPerez\u201d very simply means, \u201cbreaks-through\u201d or \u201cbreaks out of\u201d or \u201cbreeches\u201d. Perez in turn has two sons too, Hezron and Hamul.<\/p>\n

Hezron<\/h2>\n

Hezron is Jesus ancestor, and \u201cHezron\u201d means a \u201cwalled place\u201d or \u201cenclosure\u201d. As well as being a person, \u201cHezron\u201d was s also a walled town, which Joshua 15:25 tells us was also called \u201cHazor\u201d which means \u201cCastle\u201d, making Hezron a stronghold!<\/p>\n

So the last three patriarchs from Jesus, family tree to be found in Genesis tell us that:<\/h3>\n

\u201cTo acknowledge him\/his quality(Judah) beaks out of(Perez) the stronghold(Hezron)<\/strong>\u201d.<\/h3>\n

\"SamsonThere is an incident in the life of Samson, one of the seven saviour judges that models Jesus<\/a>, where the gates of Gaza are shut to trap him in Gaza where he visiting prostitute, Samson pulls up the gate posts and drags the whole lot up a nearby hill. Samson is not a great moral example to follow but he wonderfully illustrates the gates of Hades failing to prevail against him. The Cross of Jesus has primarily released us from the prison of our own failure.<\/p>\n

We acknowledge him and his victory frees us from every stronghold and debt!<\/p>\n
