Over the years I have often taught through the events of Easter, explaining the prophetic and social implications of events and the back stories of the key characters and most importantly stitching the 4/5 accounts (note Paul also writes about the events of Easter) into a single consistent narrative that explains all the seeming contradictions and differences in order between the Gospels.
But this last year I’ve developed a new approach to teaching the material, manufacturing 12 playing boards with sub-boards and over 30 cartoon-style character pieces that allows participants to see the last week of Jesus’ earthly life unfold in the space and historical context the real events took place in. It gives a clear explanation of why each gospel tells us the things it does as we see their eye-witness sources moving around and picking up events from different perspectives.
Below I’ve posted images from various “Living the Last Week” events, I’ve done small group sizes up to 100 people at a time, if you would be interested in hosting an event please contact me to chat and see what can be worked out.
