In January 2016 we are planning to start a Jesus-Centred Online Bible Study, (J-COBS for short). But we need you help so we can learn from the pilot.
The Bible studies will be made up of “live” video broadcasts, by “live” we mean that during the broadcast of a pre-recorded session a forum will be open to subscribed members to ask questions and interact. Don’t worry there will be no fee for participation, but to be a part of the dialogue you’ll need to sign up with at least an email. There will be options to support us going forward, but nothing compulsory, we don’t watch cost to get in the way of spreading a more Jesus-Centric and Jesus-Teleologic approach to Scripture.
Each session will consist of roughly 30-45 minute video broadcast at fixed times daily over a week, allowing all time zones to get involved.
Anyway for the pilot in January we wanted to start with a short book and so I thought perhaps Ruth or Jonah, as they are both just 4 chapters, both play into the revelation of Jesus and in different ways, Ruth as part of his ancestry and Jonah as the only prophet Jesus likens himself too.
So I wanted your feedback on whether we should start with Ruth, Jonah and on timings. Use the poll below to register your preferences…
